Recently, I downloaded Chrome the Open Source browser form Google. It is a simple yet powerful browser with little features but useful. I think with this browser Google is able to assert its philosophy that a browser is mainly for rendering web pages and nothing more. It is evident in everything from its design to the features it bear. The browser is fast and cute. It has a powerful JavaScript rendering engine, there is no doubt that now Chrome is the browser with the best JavaScript engine in the world of browsers.
It has a bunch of amazing features that make it unique.

1.Speed:The most important feature that I noted that it is fast in rendering pages. This is not because Chrome has a powerful rendering engine but also it is low on system resources. It uses only a little memory when compared to other browsers. To understand this first start Chrome and then type “about:memory” and this will display memory usage of various browsers you that are running at that time including Chrome.
2.Thumbnail History: Chrome can display the history of web pages you have visited with a small thumbnail image of the website. To see a Visual History of your search press Ctrl+H, which will open browser history and type a keyword in the search bar. This will open web pages in the history related to that keyword along with a thumbnail image of the website.

3.Task Manger: Google Chrome has a Task Manager like the windows Task Manager. To see the Task Manager press Shift+Esc. Now you can see all the web pages and tabs are opened inside Chrome along with their memory and CPU usage. You can end the website that uses a lot of your CPU and memory by pressing the End Process button.
4. Creating Shortcuts to web pages: It is easy to create shortcut to web pages in Chrome. To create shortcut of a webpage you have opened in Chrome right click and select Create Application.
5.Adding new Search Engines in Chrome: To add new Search Engines in Chrome just right click on the Search Bar and this will open the list of search engines currently added to chrome. To add a new search engine press the “Add” button and then add a name, keywords, and URL of the search engine. If you visit a new search engine then it will be automatically added to the list of search engines in Chrome.

6.Bookmarks Bar: You can easily access the Bookmarks you have created in Chrome from the Bookmarks Bar. If the Bookmarks Bar is full you can access other Bookmarks you have created by clicking on the “Other Bookmarks” icon located on the right side of the Bookmarks Bar. Click on the star icon on the address bar to add a bookmark. Select Bookmarks Bar if the bookmark is to be displayed on the Bookmarks Bar otherwise choose Other Bookmarks to save it in the Other Bookmarks folder. To create a new folder to save your bookmarks select the “Choose another folder..” option.
7.Reopen tabs you have closed accidently: To reopen a tab you have closed accidently just press Ctrl+T and now you will see an option that says “Recently closed tabs”.To open a tab press the appropriate link.

8.Incognito:It is a great feature of Chrome which allows users to search webpages securely and safely.”Pages you view in this window won’t appear in your browser history or search history, and they won’t leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.”, this is the message you will see when you open the incognito window. It helps to protect your privacy a cool feature that you get from chrome without using any extensions.
9.Importing Bookmarks: You can easily import bookmarks from other browsers installed in your computer like Mozilla Firefox and IE. To do this right click on the Tools icon and select “Import Bookmarks.
