How to change the registered organization and owner in Windows 7

1. Type regedit in the Windows 7 Search Box and press Enter.

2. Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

3.Now search and find “RegisteredOrganization” and “RegisteredOwner” from the window pane in the right side.

4. Right-click on these keys and change their values to your name and your organization name.

How to edit the Thumbnail Preview delay time in Windows 7

When you hover your mouse over an open application in the taskbar you will see a thumbnail preview of it. You can set the thumbnail preview delay in order to see a more instant preview of applications in the taskbar. To set a custom thumbnail preview delay do the following

1. Type regedit in the Start menu Search box and press Enter

2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced.

3. Right-click on Advanced and select New > DWORD Value and rename it to ThumbnailLivePreviewHoverTime.

4. Right-click on ThumbnailLivePreviewHoverTime and set its value to 2500 and restart your computer.

Turn off Thumbnail Preview in Windows 7

This is a small tweak you can try in order to turn off the thumbnail preview of applications in Windows 7 when you hover your over the taskbar. This tweak will need you to edit the registry. 1. Type regedit in the Start menu Searchbox and press Enter.

2.  Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

3. Now search and find the DisablePreviewWindow in the window pane on the right side.

4. Right-click on it and select Modify and set its value to 1 and restart your computer.
